Vehicle inspector does not know how to operate a parking break. Failed my vehicle because he only pushed it down half way. I stepped on it all the way (without even having to sit in the seat) and low and behold the vehicle did not move when he "blipped" the gas pedal, which is not even part of the inspection. All they are supposed to do is engage the parking brake and put the vehicle in drive to see if it holds steady. Despite the fact that I showed my parking brake works, he still wanted to argue that I should not have to press that hard so I left to find a reputable service shop. Will not ever return to this shady business.
Thank you for the feedback. I understand your frustration about the situation but parking brake is part of the safety inspection. I do not understand the shady part since we do not offer parking brake repairs or anything related to it. Our job was to do the inspection only. We do not get any benefit from passing or failing any vehicle.
